Why HOT Yoga?
In the past, Hot Yoga Stowe only offered hot yoga classes with a room temperature over 100 degrees. While that might sound crazy, the benefits of yoga increase when you add heat.
Heat therapy is a common treatment for tight muscles and injuries. When you do yoga in a heated room, your internal temperature quickly rises to meet it. Hot yoga increases circulation, loosens muscles and ligaments, promotes healing from injuries, and relieves muscle and joint pain. Not only that, but you burn hundreds of calories and remove toxins from your system through sweat!
If you've never tried hot yoga, you might want to start with Warm Slow Flow where the room is heated between 85 to 95 degrees. First time hot yoga students should be prepared with plenty of water and a towel to wipe away sweat.

What about Hot Pilates?
Inferno Hot Pilates is the newest addition to the Hot Yoga Stowe class schedule. The heat offers many of the same benefits to Pilates as it does for Hot Yoga with a room temperature between 90 and 95 degrees.
Hot Pilates provides strength training for your whole body - especially your core! It also gets your heart pumping and leaves you feeling energized. Unlike hot yoga which focuses on holding postures and breathing as you move, hot Pilates is a low-impact cardio workout designed to strength and tone the muscles.
The heat helps to loosen up tight muscles and increase blood flow! Just make sure you drink plenty of water. For more information about classes and room temperatures, check out the current class descriptions.
